Frequently asked questions
How often should strings be replaced?
You should restring your squash racquet at least once or twice a year, even if you play less frequently. If you play three or more times per week, you should restring your racket at least three times a year.
Why do I need to restring my racquet?
Strings lose their elasticity over time, even if you're not using your racquet. Proper stringing can make a big difference to how your squash racquet performs.
How do I select the correct guage?
Thinner strings offer better control and feel but are less durable.
How do I know the right string tension?
A higher tension provides less power but increases control. If you have multiple racquets of the same model, you can try stringing them with different tensions to see what works best for you. Every racquet comes with a recommended string tension range.
Technically it can, however once the frame is compromised it is only a matter of time before it will break completely. We do not re-string cracked racquets.
What strings are best to use?
Tecnifibre and Ashaway are the most popular performance strings, however you need to pick strings that best suit your style of play.
